Tech Lead
Belle & Chip
Belle and Chip are striking Araucana hens with soft blue-grey feathers and a calm, gentle spirit. Araucanas are a rare and unique heritage breed, originally from Chile, known for their distinct features—like tufts of feathers near their ears and the absence of a tail. Their quiet grace and elegant looks make her a standout in our flock.
But what makes them truly special? Their beautiful sky-blue eggs she lays! Araucanas are one of the only breeds in the world that lay naturally blue eggs, adding a magical touch to every egg-collecting basket on the farm.
They loves a peaceful perch, quiet cuddles, and watching the children explore the coop. Their gentle presence helps little ones build confidence around animals and experience the joy of caring for something calm and kind.
A true fairytale hen, Belle and Chip bring beauty, gentleness, and a little bit of blue-egg magic to our farm school.

Egg Quality Control Supervisor
Ken (the boss), Ken Jr., Barbie & Chelsea.
Our Barred Rock hens are beloved members of our farm family, bringing calm, steadiness, and gentle confidence to the rhythm of our days. With their striking black-and-white feathers, they move gracefully through the coop and garden, offering a comforting presence for children as they learn to care for animals and gather the light cream-colored eggs they lay.

By their side is Ken, our attentive rooster, whose proud posture and cheerful crow mark the start of each morning. Through daily interaction with this flock, children observe consistent behavioral patterns, social hierarchy, and egg-laying cycles, developing an early understanding of animal biology and farm ecosystems.

Royalty of the Coop
Wildstar, Leaf, Glacier, Cinder, Storm, River, Wednesday & Funeral.
Our Black Copper Marans are the crown jewels of the coop! Famous for laying deep, chocolate-brown eggs, these stunning French hens bring both beauty and bounty to our farm school. Their feathers are mostly a rich, velvety black, with striking copper tones around their necks—but the real magic happens in the sunlight. When the sun hits just right, their dark plumage shimmers with iridescent shades of teal, green, and even hints of rainbow, making them truly mesmerizing to watch.

Children love observing them forage, feed, and gently gather eggs from their cozy nesting boxes.

Whether they’re showing off their shiny feathers or tucking into a garden treat, our Black Copper Marans are a treasured part of our feathered family.

Office/Flock Manager
Sisu
Sisu is our devoted American Akita, a noble and gentle working dog who brings strength and calm to the rhythm of our farm. With her wise eyes and strong heart, she carries out her role with devotion—greeting each day with readiness and welcoming visitors with a watchful spirit.

Like a living doorbell, Sisu alerts us when new friends arrive at the gate, her gentle voice signaling it’s time to gather and prepare. Her keen senses and loyal nature make her an essential helper on the land, always aware, always near.

To the children, Sisu is both protector and companion—walking alongside during forest adventures, resting peacefully while little hands tend the garden, and sharing in the quiet harmony of our farm life. She embodies the deep connection between humans and animals, teaching us about loyalty, care, and purposeful work done with love.

Head of Security
Luna & Leo
Luna and Leo are our lively Bengal cats who live indoors with us at the farm school. Their beautiful spotted coats, inherited from the Asian leopard cat. Their patterns often remind us of quiet forest shadows, and their bright eyes are always curious about what’s happening around them.

When playtime slows, they enjoy curling up in a cozy lap for soft, gentle cuddles, modeling calmness and comfort. Though they carry the look of wild cats, Luna and Leo are warm, friendly members of our farm family, reminding us of the joy found in both lively play and peaceful rest.

Head of Lawn Maintenance
Miss Mac (Macadamia), Oreo and Chocolate Chip.
Our gentle Nigerian Dwarf goats are playful little nibblers who love to explore the pasture all day long. They use their tiny mouths to nibble on grass and plants—but only gently and playfully! These sweet goats help keep the farm looking neat and healthy by munching on weeds and grass, making them important helpers in caring for our land.

What makes them extra special is how much they love being around people. They enjoy company so much that if you walk away, they’ll call softly for you to come back and visit again! Kids especially love feeding them, brushing their soft coats, and spending quiet time snuggling with these friendly goats.

Keep an eye out for our fun yoga classes that include these lovely goats—where you can stretch, play, and enjoy their cheerful company all at once! Our Nigerian Dwarf goats are not just helpers—they’re playful friends who bring joy, laughter, and gentle love to the farm.

Bandit
Say hello to Bandit, our charming Silver Fox male bunny here at the farm school! With his soft black fur dusted in silvery tips and his curious, gentle personality, Bandit quickly wins the hearts of everyone he meets.
He loves nibbling on fresh greens, hopping through the grass, and quietly observing the children as they learn and play. Bandit is especially fond of storytime and gentle cuddles, often stretching out in the sun while little hands softly pet his back.
Bandit helps our students learn about compassion, responsibility, and the joy of caring for animals. He’s not just a bunny—he’s a beloved member of our farm family.
Come meet Bandit! He’s always happy to say hello (especially if you bring a carrot!).

Bunny Maternity Managers
Bingo & Bluey
Bingo and Bluey are the beloved bunny mamas of our farm school! These two sweet sisters are a unique mix of Chinchilla, Silver Fox, and California breeds, which gives them their beautiful coats and big, sturdy bodies. As full-grown does, they can weigh between 11-16 pounds—making them some of our larger bunnies, perfect for cozy cuddles and gentle lap time with the kids.
One of the first things you might notice about Bingo and Bluey are their bright red eyes. This is a common trait in California mixes and is simply due to a lack of pigment—kind of like having very light-colored eyes in humans. While their red eyes might surprise some at first, they don't affect their vision or their loving personalities!
These mamas are calm, nurturing, and incredibly patient, which makes them wonderful for children to interact with. They’re happy to be brushed, fed fresh greens, and gently petted during quiet time. They also help teach our students about the responsibilities of animal care and the beauty of motherhood, as they've both raised adorable litters on the farm.
Bingo and Bluey are gentle giants with hearts just as big as their floppy ears—stop by and meet them for yourself!
