Service Description

Experience the magic of learning on a real working farm! Children will connect with nature through animal care, gardening, seasonal discoveries, stories, crafts, and outdoor exploration. Each week follows a familiar routine while exploring a new September theme inspired by the changing season. 10:00–10:15 AM | Welcome Circle Morning greetings, songs, nature observations, and an introduction to our weekly theme. 10:15–10:45 AM | Garden Time Harvest vegetables, collect seeds, water plants, explore insects, and discover how gardens change throughout autumn. 10:45–11:15 AM | Goat Care Feed, brush, and observe our friendly Nigerian Dwarf goats while learning responsible animal stewardship. 11:15–11:45 AM | Chicken Chores Collect eggs, refill feeders and waterers, observe chicken behaviour, and learn about feathers, nests, and life cycles. 11:45 AM–12:15 PM | Picnic Lunch 12:15–12:45 PM | Story & Nature Craft Enjoy a seasonal story followed by a hands-on craft inspired by the day's learning. 12:45–1:00 PM | Nature Journals & Pick-Up Each child will receive their own Barnyard Nature Journal to use throughout the season. Before heading home, we'll reflect on the day's discoveries by recording observations through sketches, labels, and simple written reflections. Week by week, their journal will become a treasured keepsake documenting their learning and the changing seasons on the farm. September Themes: 🍎 Apple Explorers – Investigate what’s inside an apple through a hands-on dissection, identify its different parts, and discover the apple life cycle from seed to fruit. 🍄 Mushroom Discoveries – Discover the fascinating world of fungi as we explore different mushroom varieties, observe their unique features, and create our own clay mushrooms. 🍂 Autumn Equinox Celebration – Celebrate the arrival of autumn with a nature walk as we hunt for, observe, and record the seasonal changes happening all around us. Our program is inspired by the Charlotte Mason philosophy, encouraging children to slow down, observe the natural world, and build meaningful connections with the land, animals, and each other through real-life experiences rather than worksheets.
