Summer Camp Week 4: Basic Camping Skills
Monday July 20 - Friday July 24 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Available spots
Service Description
This week introduces children to the joys of camping through hands-on, age-appropriate outdoor skills. Campers learn how to help set up a tent, understand basic camping gear, and practice teamwork as they create a shared camp space. With close supervision, children are introduced to fire safety and observe how a campfire is built before enjoying classic camp treats like roasting hot dogs and making s’mores. Campers also explore simple fishing skills, including how to bait a fishing rod, dig for worms, and learn about respecting wildlife. Nature walks, storytelling, and outdoor play round out the experience, giving children the confidence to explore the outdoors while learning practical skills in a fun, supportive environment. This week encourages independence, problem-solving, and a love of outdoor adventure — all while keeping safety at the heart of every activity.
